Our Care Sets Us Apart
Our office’s primary focus is the prevention and relief of pain, which can significantly affect our patients’ quality of life. We enjoy working with the wonderful referring dentists who place their trust and confidence in Dr. Meier & Dr. Long, combined with the fantastic assistance from our incredible staff, to care for patients and restore their comfort. Most of our staff members have been here for over ten years, some over 20!
Meet Your Care Providers
Dr. Allen Meier
Dr. Meier received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1990 and an additional Masters of Science in Dentistry (MSD-Endodontics) in 1995, both from Indiana University School of Dentistry. After dental school and during his masters studies, he served in the US Air Force Dental Corps for eight years, the last three as Chief of Endodontics at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii. In the years since he began his Endodontic specialization he has completed well over 30,000 procedures, both surgical and nonsurgical. He is currently a member of five different national, state and local dental organizations and study clubs.
Dr. Meier, his wife Angie, and their three young sons joined the Bloomington community in 1998. In 2007 Dr. Meier and his talented team opened a second office in Jasper, Indiana, and now care for patients as far south as the Ohio River. Jasper is a quiet jewel of a town, with a wonderful dental community. Our practice there has become an ideal complement to the Bloomington location. From Columbus to Terre Haute, from Martinsville to Evansville, we are privileged to have earned the trust of over 100 general dentists and specialists, and every day we work hard to enhance that trust even further.
Dr. Jacob Long
Dr. Long and his wife, Dr. Lauren Long (a Jasper native!) have a son named James and a Bernadoodle, Scout. Lauren is a pediatric dentist and works just across the street from our Jasper office, alongside Dr. Nathan Seng. The Longs relocated to Jasper in 2021, excited to be a part of the community. Dr. Long enjoys spending time with his family, his church small group, playing golf and riding his bike. He’s also a Disney “super fan!”
Our Team Members
The combined experience of our team members adds up to well over 100 years. They have mastered the art of taking good care of our patients. In fact, many of them have been patients at some point, so they have first-person knowledge of how you might feel when you come. Our close-knit team includes two pairs of sisters and a mother-daughter duo. We have one exceptional team with two distinct offices.
